Herzogenaurach, November 2005 – adidas Originals presents the Ali by adidas Spring/Summer 2006 fashion collection developed in collaboration with Muhammad Ali, one of the most inspirational sports legends of all time. The Ali by adidas line is a complete range of men’s apparel, accessories and footwear capturing Muhammad Ali’s bold self-confidence and incomparable style. As part of the adidas Sport Heritage Division this collection is designated by the Trefoil logo and pays tribute to Muhammad Ali as an icon of style outside the ring.
Truly considered the Greatest of All Time, Ali is an authentic icon, one of the most enigmatic figures of modern history and culture, a fighter and a hero. Having completely transcended the sport that he has dedicated his life to, Ali captures the imagination and admiration of fans around the globe – like adidas.
For SS06 the Ali by adidas collection will update key items from Fall/Winter 2005 in new colourways. The line will also feature a Cassius Clay capsule collection which includes a limited women’s offering. The Cassius Clay collection features an authentic, strong, stylized “Cassius Clay” logo taken from a shirt that Ali wore as a young boxer before changing his name to Muhammad Ali in 1964. Distinct, impactful and memorable graphics represent the great story behind this collection.
