And there is no reason to compromise on comfort this summer, the adidas Clima365™collection offers a unique Body Mapping technology specifically developed for the female body and cutting-edge adidas technologies enabling you to focus on your cardio workout in any given temperature or weather condition.
adidas Body Mapping technology was developed by the scientists in the adidas Innovation Team and is based on specific maps of the heat and sweat production zones in the female body and feet. The technology illustrates regions for optimal cooling and moisture management; the maps highlight three Clima zones that can be used to optimize sweat and moisture management and ventilation.
The adidas experts determined that the placement of different materials and fabrics would help regulate the body temperature to its optimum level (37 degrees) during all levels of exercise. From this they developed adidas ClimaCool® for heat and moisture management through ventilation and ClimaLite® fabric technology which improves ventilation, conducts heat and wicks sweat away from the body allowing you to stay drier, comfortable and perform better in higher temperatures or weather conditions.
adidas fitness expert, Violet Zaki says: “Keeping cool whilst you work out is integral to your bikini body mission as it allows you to concentrate on the job in hand rather than feeling distracted, uncomfortable and over-heated. My advice is to start three weeks prior to wearing your bikini by performing cardio at least one hour per other day and try to burn more calories and eat fewer calories than normal each day.”
Highlights in the collection include the Clima365™ Image Tank which features ClimaCool® technology, iconic back mesh panel and coloured metallic stripes and the lightweight Clima 95 shoe which is ideal for cardio workouts. It features 360° ventilation and a perforated sockliner for the perfect foot climate and greater breathability. The trainer also features high abrasion EVA with heel and forefoot cushioning, TPU welds for additional support and an integrated support layer for stability
The fall/winter 2009 collection will launch at retail in June 2009, including adidas Sport Performance stores, the adidas online store and also at selected sports retailers all around the world.
