Story
We hear from four Olympic gold medal winners on what it takes to make it to the top, how difficult it is to stay there, who they think will come away with Chinese medals and why. Donovan Bailey, Maurice Greene, Pyross Dimas & Nadia Comaneci are all Olympic Champions. Donovan Bailey retired from sprinting in 2001, having been a five-time World and Olympic Champion. Bailey a Jamaican born Canadian won the 100m Gold at Atlanta in 1996 his time of 9.84 was the 100m World Record until 1999. America’s Maurice Greene bettered that time clocking 9.79 seconds. Greene also won the 100m Gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. On February 4th 2008 Greene announced his retirement from the track, citing nagging injuries. Pyross Dimas from Greece is a Triple Olympic Gold Medal Winner in Weightlifting. Finally gymnast Nadia Comaneci of Romania is probably one of the most well known Olympian’s of all time. Winner of five Olympic gold medals, and the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 at the age of 14, Comaneci became one of the stars of the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. Now 46 she is the Vice-Chairwomen on the Board Of Directors for the International Special Olympics and Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Im a little torn here because Usain and Osafa are both Jamaican and that is where i was born and Tyson represents the 3 stripes. I think it will be a phenomenal race. The guy that can make the most mistakes and win is Usain Bolt he is the biggest strongest and fastest guy there. Tyson hasn’t made a lot of mistakes lately and he has the advantage that he hasn’t raced in about a month and Osafa looks like he has no pressure on him so its gonna be tough

SOUNDBITE: Maurice Greene ENGLISH LANGUAGE - Obviously I am a little biased, I would like Tyson Gay to win, he is an Amercian, he took my world record away from me so obvioiusly I want an American to win. But what Usain Bolt did earlier this year to run a 9.72 he put himself on a totally different level to anyone else in the 100 metres and he also ran 9.76 then 9.72 so to do that earlier in the year and only have a couple of 100 metres under your belt he has put himself above the rest. But Its gonna be a great race
