The trend sub-division of adidas Basketball has once again partnered with the Philadelphia-based basketball lifestyle brand UNDRCRWN on a three shoe limited edition footwear collection called adidas Team Signature Command + Create x UNDRCRWN: The Brand for Champions Series. The fusion of two distinctly iconic sports and lifestyle brands result in yet again the continuation of the adidas REMIX tradition - bringing unexpected and bold statement styles to performance footwear.
The adidas Command + Create x UNDRCRWN: The Brand for Champions Series is based on the 2008/2009 adidas Basketball campaign, Command and Create. Within every team there are distinct player models: The power players who crash the boards and dominate the paint and the perimeter playmakers who call the shots and run the floor with a fluidness that seems impossible to defend against. Within the adidas Basketball family, the Commanders are Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard and Tim Duncan and the Creators are Tracy McGrady, Chauncey Billups and Gilbert Arenas.
The Brand for Champions Series captures and celebrates the individuality of Commanders and Creators in a uniquely UNDRCRWN way. The NBA Champions trophy and ring, the two most coveted accolades received in the league, are used throughout the footwear series. Both are symbolic of the success achieved by Commanders and Creators. The three silhouettes each offer a distinctive take on what a champion looks and feels like:
TS Creator x UNDRCRWN: Playing homage to the NBA Champions ring, the embossed UNDRCRWN World Champions ring looks to be the new ultimate prize for ballers and those who ascribe to be like one. The black, yellow and silver color combo brings new statement to court kicks. SRP: $125
TS Creator Low x UNDRCRWN: Applying a vintage classic look to a new performance shoe results in a clean low top that does what adidas and UNDRCRWN do best: Respect the past, invent the future. The cream leather and canvas upper gets subtle pops of red and blue at the sole and a gold UNDRCWN lace plate ties it all together. SRP $125.
TS Commander x UNDRCRWN: Referencing luxe fashion every NBA player covets, this silhouette is truly for the aspirational at heart. The rich dark green checkerboard leather upper with pops of red and black at the laces, midfoot striping and ankle strap solidify this as a commanding shoe on and off-court. UNDRCRWN insignia embossed on the ankle and gold lace plate adds the finishing touch. SRP $125.
