Clima Cool® apparel activity conducts heat and sweat away frm the body through a combination of heat and moisture-dissipating materials, ventilation channels and three-dimensional fabrics that allow air to circulate close to the skin.
By mapping the body's critical heat and sweat zones using infrared cameras, it was possible to place these technologies exactly where they are needed to optimize the athlete's the athlete's body temperature. An athlete can actually stay cooler in ClimaCool® apparel than they can in bare skin.

Thermoregulation – the regulation of body temperature
ClimaCool® Apparel - a system that addresses the needs of the body based on adidas’ research of body mapping. It has one clear athlete benefit in mind: Sweat and heat management through ventilation and moisture management
Body Mapping – a 3-Dimenstional map of the body, which represents a fundamental new approach in how functional garments are created. Body mapping specifically identifies the key sweat and heat producing zones of the human body. Sensors measure temperature and moisture levels of areas all over the body. This information allows designers to precisely address these key zones thereby creating a more functional garment
Moisture-wicking fabrics – moisture management fabrics which transport moisture away from the body, keeping the athlete cool and dry
X-Static®– thermal conductive fibers engineered into the fabric, consisting of silver-coated yarns placed down the back of the shirt in a chimney shape construction, conducting heat away from the body
3D Fabrics – moisture management fabrics featuring hundreds of small indents on the body side of the fabric to pull sweat in all directions both outwards from the body and also across the surface of the garment, and maximising micro ventilation across the skin
Cool Touch Neck Tape – Heat conductive tape located around the neck. Sends cooling signals to the brain, providing the constant feeling of cooling.
